This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Hio Mitos ("we", "us") and covers the Clipboard Typer software, including any updates we provide (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. License

We grant you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on Windows devices that you own or control, for your personal use or for internal use within your organization.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

  1. sell, rent, lease, sublicense or redistribute the App, or offer it as a hosted service;
  2. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where applicable law expressly allows this despite this restriction;
  3. remove or change any copyright or other notices in the App;
  4. use the App in breach of any law or regulation.

3. Responsible use

The App types or pastes text into other applications on your instruction. You are solely responsible for:

  1. the text you copy, type or paste with the App, and where you send it;
  2. complying with the rules of the applications, websites, systems and organizations you use the App with, including any employer IT or security policies;
  3. not using the App to get around security controls or to access systems or accounts you are not authorized to use.

Before using the App with sensitive information such as passwords, make sure this is allowed where you are using it. Clear the App's history afterwards using "Clear history".

4. Privacy

The App keeps your clipboard history in your device's memory only and does not send it anywhere. Our Privacy Policy, available at https://hio-mitos.github.io/clipboard-typer/privacy.html, explains how information is handled and forms part of this Agreement.

5. Ownership and third-party components

The App is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights, title and interest in the App, including all intellectual property rights. The App includes open-source components (including Python, Pillow, pystray, pyperclip, pywin32 and winsdk). Each is licensed under its own open-source license, and nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under those licenses.

6. Updates

We may release updates that fix problems, change features or remove features. Updates are delivered through the Microsoft Store and are covered by this Agreement unless they come with different terms.

7. Support

We provide support on a reasonable-efforts basis at Hio-Mitos@gladiators.city (see https://hio-mitos.github.io/clipboard-typer/support.html). We are not obliged to provide any particular level of support, updates or response times.

8. No warranty

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT TEXT WILL ALWAYS BE TYPED OR PASTED ACCURATELY OR COMPLETELY. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THE RESULT BEFORE RELYING ON IT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP OR THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP, IF ANY.

10. Your statutory rights

Some countries, states and provinces do not allow some of the exclusions or limitations in sections 8 and 9. Nothing in this Agreement limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.

11. Termination

This Agreement applies until it ends. It ends automatically if you breach it. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the App. When it ends, you must stop using the App and uninstall it. Sections 3, 5 and 8 to 14 survive termination.

12. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

13. Microsoft

This Agreement is between you and Hio Mitos only, not Microsoft. Microsoft is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Your use of the Microsoft Store is also subject to Microsoft's own terms.

14. General

This Agreement and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, we have not waived it. We may update this Agreement for future versions of the App, and we will change the "Last updated" date when we do.
